Following a Dream
Dickson Shreffler’s passion for the retail industry began when he was 16 years old, working at a Florida Supermarket. In 1988, Dickson received an exciting opportunity to purchase a small consignment shop, and he took it. Nearly 30 years later, Dickson has expanded his small business to two different locations in Charlotte and Gastonia, NC.
Pursuing Retail Business Loans
After moving his Charlotte-based business into a large warehouse in 2008, Dickson was among many business owners who were struggling due to the country’s economy. When Dickson decided it was time to pursue additional business financing, he got in contact with CEO and Co-founder of Fora Financial, Jared Feldman.
Due to the business’s promising future, Jared took a chance on The Sleepy Poet Antique Mall, and as Fora Financial grew, so did Dickson’s business. The two of them forged a strong relationship, and don’t hesitate to call each other friends.
Growth with Additional Working Capital
Dickson has used Fora Financial’s services on ten different occasions and each time the amount of financing has increased. He has received both retail business loans and merchant cash advances. In the most recent funding, Dickson received $120,000 to use towards his business’s online advertising efforts.
